While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

No mere passer-by could have said this with the same effect. The brothers clearly knew who Jesus was when He approached them. The urgency of the gospel stands in stark relief.

And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.

Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

The disciples are indeed leaving all to serve Him, in accord with what He will go on to teach in the gospels.

with the hired servants
A hired servant is contrasted with a son in several places in Scripture. The loyalty of a son for his own dad may be considerable, but we see here a father who is left with only servants while his sons devote themselves to their heavenly Father.
John 10:11-13
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
